PLEIN AIR GROUP
The Plein Air Painting Group is a great way to stretch as an artist, meet other artists, and get outdoors to enjoy the season. There is no charge for joining the group. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun. It’s not necessary to be a PAL member to be part of the Plein Air group. THE URBAN SKETCHERS
Urban Sketchers meet year-round. The organization is dedicated to raising the artistic, storytelling and educational value of location drawing. PORTRAIT GROUP
The Portrait Group meets almost every Friday from 1 to 3pm at Village Concept of Gig Harbor. A model sits for four twenty-minute sessions with 10-minute breaks in between sessions. Each participant is asked to contribute $5 to join in the painting and sketching and to help cover model fees. Models get $40 (plus $5 if they travel over the bridge). FOX ISLAND PAINTERS GROUP
The Fox Island Painters (“FoxPaw”) meets Wednesdays, 10am-1pm at the Nichols Community Center. Get-togethers are throughout the year with a monthly $5 fee. The group typically take a break in August and September. Contact Lorie Merryman for more information LorieMerryman@gmail.com or 404-414-5156.
