2025 National Fine Art Show

(formerly the Open Juried Show)

The National Fine Art Show (NFAS), is Peninsula Art League’s prestigious juried art exhibition celebrating excellence in two- and three-dimensional artwork and photo/digital art.


This year’s show is to be held from November 14th, 2025, through December 3rd, 2025, at the award-winning Gig Harbor Vintage Aero Museum, and prizes and gift certificates totaling more than $6,500 will be awarded.  Talented local, regional and national artists over the age of 18 are invited to submit their work.

Cable Griffith

2025 NFAS Juror

Cable Griffith is an artist, curator, and educator.

He has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Frye Art Museum, Bellevue Arts Museum, the Whatcom Museum, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, Aqua Art Fair, Seattle Art Fair, and the NEoN Digital Arts Festival in Dundee, Scotland. Griffith has received numerous awards and public commissions, with his paintings and installations in the collections of Microsoft, Vulcan, Weyerhaeuser, Capitol One, the Washington State Art Collection, the City of Seattle, Sound Transit, Swedish Medical Center, and the Port of Seattle. 

He received a BFA from Boston University and an MFA from the University of Washington. Griffith was recently  appointed Chair of the Art Department at Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University, and is represented in Seattle by J. Rinehart Gallery.

Cathy Kimball

2024 Juror

With nearly 40 years of experience as a curator and arts professional, Cathy Kimball has curated dozens of works on paper. Kimball retired from the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art in 2020 where she served as Executive Director and Chief Curator from 2000. She was formerly the curator at the San Jose Museum of Art and the New Jersey Center for Visual Arts in Summit.

Currently, she is the curator for De.Coded: A Human Atlas of Silicon Valley, a social impact art project created at the intersection of art, technology, DNA science and community, developed by UK-based photographer Marcus Lyon. In addition, Kimball curates and helps to build the collections of several corporate and private clients.

2023 Open Juried Show

The 2023 exhibition included more than 100 works of 80 artists from across the United States and Canada. The show was juried by Catherine Gill.
