WORKSHOP AND EVENT POLICIES
Free Events
Registration may be required for free events when space is an issue. If you register and cannot attend, please cancel to open space to people on the waitlist.
Symposium
Registration is required for PAL Symposiums. The same policies for registration, fees, refunds, cancellations, waitlist, and waiver of liability apply. (See below)
Workshop Registration and Fee
Registration is required for all Workshops and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Workshop fee is due at the time of registration and can be paid with PayPal, credit, or debit card. Registration closes when the Workshop fills to capacity or 5 days prior to the date of the Workshop (unless otherwise noted). If there is a materials fee for the participant, the fee is due on the day of the class and is payable to the instructor. When materials fees are listed as a part of the Workshop, they are not optional, and credit is not given for any materials participants choose to bring with them.
To limit disruption to the Workshop curriculum, we ask that participants plan to attend the entire Workshop. PAL accepts no walk-ins to workshops; pre-registration is required. Questions on registration should be directed to the Workshop Contact or Coordinator. Instructors should not be contacted about registration details.
Refunds
If a cancellation is received with Advance Notice (1 week prior to a one-day workshop; four weeks prior to a multi-day workshop), a full refund will be provided. If the cancellation is less than with Advance Notice, we will issue a refund if we are able to fill the spot. All refunds must be requested in writing (email to the workshop contact or coordinator).
Cancellation
In the rare event PAL must cancel a Workshop, our priority will be to reschedule the Workshop if possible. If a registered participant is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, they will be offered a refund. Any openings in the Workshop will next be offered to waitlisted participants and then to membership. If we are unable to reschedule the Workshop, all registered attendees will be refunded the Workshop fee.
Waitlist
PAL creates waitlists for all Workshops that have reached the capacity of registered participants. If a space opens in a waitlisted workshop, participants on the waitlist will be contacted by email and phone. Priority will be given to the first person registered on the waitlist. PAL may contact waitlisted participants up to 5pm the day before a weekday Workshop or 5pm on the Friday before a weekend Workshop. Waitlisted participants may not show up for a Workshop unless they have been previously notified.
Waiver of Liability
All participants in PAL Workshops and Events are required to read and agree to a Waiver of Liability (“Hold Harmless”) statement prior to attending any Workshop or Event.
