As a watercolor and mixed media artist in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I am surrounded by a bounty of inspiration. I enjoy the sense of connection to my work as I listen and respond to the moment of inspiration. I often begin with a preconceived image of the final piece, only to find that as the subject emerges the painting takes on a voice of its own . At other times the mediums introduce new pathways and the painting becomes more expressive of my emotions. The interplay of the design elements and principles are my voice to communicate to the viewer. The viewers experience is the final part of the artistic effort.
