Lynda Lindner was born in Liverpool, England. She has a B.A. degree in Fine Art from Reading University (U.K.) specializing in painting and drawing. After a brief period of teaching Life Drawing at a local Art College, she married and then emigrated to the United States.She returned to painting after raising five children. Lynda and her husband moved to Gig Harbor in 2001. She is an active member of the Peninsula Art League and has participated in many exhibitions and shows in the area. From childhood, Lynda has always been a portrait painter. Oil is her preferred medium, giving her the lush, bright, fluid swatches of color that dance across her canvas. She is also an award-winning pastelist, and finds the medium perfect for dramatic light contrasts.
