How do I become a member of PAL?

Review the benefits of PAL membership on this page, and fill out the membership application to enjoy the many benefits of PAL.

When do I pay Membership Dues?

Membership dues are to be paid once per year, and payment is due on the anniversary of the date you became a member. You can find the date your membership payment is due by logging into the PAL website and clicking on the “Account Details” tab.

Signature & Achievement Member FAQs

Can I become both a Signature Member AND an Achievement Member?

Yes! If three of your works in one medium have been selected in the required juried shows for a Signature Member, and three of your works in a variety of mediums have been selected in the required juried shows for an Achievement Member, you would qualify for both honor titles.

For instance, you could have a “Signature Member – Watercolor” for your extensive work with watercolors, but you could also have an “Achievement Member” award for successfully entering an oil painting, a drawing and a sculpture into three juried shows.

Can I become a Signature Member in multiple mediums?

Yes! Each Signature Member status is attached to one medium but you could potentially qualify for more than one Signature Member status.

For instance, if you have had three pastel paintings accepted into the required juried shows but also have had three oil paintings accepted into the required juried shows, you would qualify for a “Signature Member – Pastels” and a “Signature Member – Acrylic/oil painting.”

What mediums are accepted into the juried shows?

The accepted mediums for Signature and Achievement Member applications are:

Alcohol ink
Ceramics (includes functional ceramics and sculptures)
Cold Wax
Digital media
Drawing (includes chalk, pencil, colored pencil, charcoal and pen/ink)
Encaustic
Fiber/Textile
Glass, blown
Glass, fused
Glass, mosaics (includes 2D and 3D)
Jewelry
Mixed media/collage 2D
Mixed media 3D
Painting: Oil or Acrylic
Painting: Silk
Painting: Watercolor
Pastel
Photography
Print making
Scratchboard
Sculpture, metal
Sculpture, mixed media
Sculpture, stone
Sculpture, wood

How can I find information on which of my artwork has been accepted in PAL's juried shows?

In the upper right corner of this page, click on the Member Account link. This will take you to your account page.

Click on the My Juried Shows tab to see information about your accepted artwork in PAL’s juried shows.

Is there an application to receive Signature or Achievement Member status?

Yes! But it’s easy to do! The links to each application can be found on the Signature and Achievement Member page.
