Bringing Community to the Artist and Art to the Community

Providing art lovers & artists the opportunity to learn and connect is a key pillar of our mission at PAL.

The Peninsula Art League Art Forum

  • Monthly Meetings & Art Talks: We are delighted to host a series of monthly Art Forums. These meetings are designed to provide access to guest arts and culture presentations, an opportunity to mingle with peers in the local art community, and a chance to hear the latest news from PAL.

  • What to Expect: Each month, experienced arts professionals share insights into their inspiration, discuss recent projects, or demonstrate unique techniques.  In addition, we feature a small display from 1-3 PAL artists at every meeting. It’s a wonderful way for members to showcase their work and for attendees to discover the talent within our creative community!

  • When + Where: PAL Art Forums are held on the second Saturday of each month, September through May, at PenMet Parks Rosedale Hall or the Arletta Schoolhouse.  These meetings are free of charge and you do not need to be a PAL member to attend. We invite you to come along and find out more about PAL and our local art scene!

January: Member-Only Luncheon
At the start of the New Year, we gather to celebrate our community at the Annual PAL Member Luncheon. This is a perfect occasion for members to reflect on the past year and set goals for the artistic journey ahead while catching up with friends old and new.

November: Annual General Meeting
We time our Annual General Meeting to coincide with one of our marquee events, the National Fine Art Show (NFAS). Hosted at the award-winning Gig Harbor Vintage Aero Museum, this is a fantastic opportunity to hear a “look back and look forward” from the PAL board while enjoying the exceptional art on display. This meeting is open to members and non-members alike.

More details on guest speakers, topics, and locations can be found in our Calendar.

To reserve your spot, please register via Eventbrite. There is no charge to attend, but registration helps us plan for seating and refreshments.

A Summer Art Festival Exclusive

Our Summer Members’ Show promises to be a seasonal celebration of the unmatched creativity of a vibrant mix of artists working in a wide range of mediums who make up the Peninsula Art League. Exhibited inside the Volunteer Vern Pavilion, this dedicated Member Show will be a major highlight of the 40th Summer Art Festival, showcasing our Members’ indoor exhibition in addition to 100+ regional community booth artists.

This year our juror is Christine Buchanan, a renowned Gig Harbor sculptor and Fine Arts Department Chair at Peninsula High School. Christine’s unique perspective is deeply rooted in visual storytelling and a profound connection to the natural world.

Here is a chance to step inside the pavilion to discover a beautifully curated collection that represents the heart and soul of our league.

Our juror will be awarding Best of Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and three Honorable Mention winners.

Summer Art Fair attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite for the People’s Choice Awards.
