Achievement Members may focus on just one medium that they are still developing and refining or they may enjoy working in several different mediums, exploring creativity through diversity rather than specialization. This status celebrates artistic exploration, learning, and the joy of creating as part of a supportive art community.
I am a multimedia artist working in watercolor and in pastel. I paint local landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and the west coast. I also paint pet portraits in watercolor & pastel. I moved to Olalla, Washington in 2020 after many years living in Northern California.
I have come to appreciate the extreme beauty in the ever-changing weather patterns of the Pacific Northwest. Here I renewed my love for watercolor and water media painting and started painting & observing more closely the rhythms of the tides and patterns of reflections on the water. The incredible old barns and farmlands of the Pacific Northwest have also captured my artistic imagination.
I have learned so much from other artists and have taken Water media workshops with E. John Robinson, D. Lee Garrison & Sandra Imperatori. I have taken Pastel classes & workshops with Reif Erickson & Debbie Wardrope.
